Catching Up

The sooner you fall behind the more time you have to catch up. Right now that means I have more time to catch up than any of you! I think.....hmmm.......

Hi, Brittany. Yes, I'm a "Nobody", but one who happens to read the Romany Epistles, and wants to drop some encouragement your way.

I know what it's like to be lost in a story, whether that's because you love what you are doing, you forgot a detail or major character and it's bothering you, or you get out your notebook, only to sit there with a weepy feeling of hopelessness because what you want to say just isn't coming. I know what it's like to plow through a story, even though the prose is shaky, the dialogue is boring, and the characters are flat. I also know what it's like to get a book on writing, hoping for some inspiration, only to find that you are more confused AFTER reading the book than you ever were before.

Even with all of this...You are a part of the Wayside Inn Writers for a reason, and you are a part of the Romany Epistles for a reason. They trust you with the character of Sam, and I know you will shine at last.

I was excited to hear that Sam is dealing with some important issues, and I hope to finally meet him someday. He will get his hour in the sun, just like Taerith, Aiden, Zoe, and the rest. Never fear, my friend.

Hi Brittany, Just a word of encouragement on writing of Sam. It will come to you. I have read most of the Romany Epistles and I know just from a feeling that Sam is special. Sam is not like the others not even His Twin Zoe. Where Zoe is fire Sam is water. Sam is the peace maker of the family. The healer the one who heals. Yet he is a Romany he is the one who would sacrifice His life for others. That is just my theory of Sam. I can't wait to see how you portrait him and bring him to life. I am praying for you.
